The Archivist
I am in the midst of creating a large interactive piece of work called ‘The Museum of Curious Memories’. A seemingly endless collection of memories stored in bottles, boxes and books.

As a back story for the creation of the Museum I went researching to the beginnings of Museum History and 17th Century London.

I wanted to invent a character called The Archivist who could have lived in a specific place and time. So I have been researching books, archives and maps. I have placed him in the Parish of St Botolph without Aldgate in the early 1600s. I've even been collecting physical objects from that period that he could have owned in order to make him feel more real.
