The Archivist
I am in the midst of creating a large interactive piece of work called ‘The Museum of Curious Memories’. A seemingly endless collection of memories stored in bottles, boxes and books.
As a back story for its creation I ventured to the beginnings of Museum History and 17th Century London.
Looking through parish registers, vestry books, archives and maps. I’ve chosen specific places and times, invented characters and gathered real historical objects to make the story feel inhabited rather than imagined.
