As part of Wellebration Day at Mill View Hospital on 10th September 2014, myself and a team of creatives, ran special 'in ward’ Art Workshops.
We took inspiration from the Caburn Art Project 'A Box Of…’ which was influenced by the work of American artist Joseph Cornell for his methods of working with assemblage and collage.
We travelled the corridors of Mill View with our cheerfully decorated Wellebration art trolley and encouraged budding artists, service users and staff alike to make and fill small boxes with images, words and objects.
After photographing, selecting, arranging and rearranging I put together images of the work created.
This is the final piece, which will be on permanent display at Mill View Hostpital soon.
